In the 3-bedroom/2.5-bathroom main house, claim a space in front of the living room’s fireplace, or find a place to call your own in the plush family room, bright library, or quiet screened porch near the garden. Create a feast for the whole family in the eat-in kitchen, which features a sub-zero, Viking stove (with a second refrigerator in the butler’s pantry), two dishwashers, and two sinks. Then pass the plates and linger over a leisurely meal in the sun-soaked dining room — or move to the slate terrace, which has a table that comfortably accommodates eight.
The 3-bedroom/2.5-bathroom carriage house is also well equipped and ready to handle weekend guests or those who want a bit more space. Cook up breakfast in the kitchen, which has a refrigerator, dishwasher, and two-burner stove. On the second floor, find the property’s additional washer/dryer unit.

I recently stayed at the property with my family and young children. We had an amazing stay at the property. The grounds were beautiful, pool amazing, and house clean. Great location to the beach. House had everything we needed. We were all so sad to go.

Wonderful experience - elegant, comfortable homes - easy to settle in! The pool was perfect for kid swim! Kim, the property manager was great! Hope to return for 4 days next June 27th!

We have had family reunions in California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Spain and Portugal and this lovely estate on Shelter Island was by far the most comfortable and accommodating we have rented. The welcoming basket of gourmet goodies set the tone just as you walk into the kitchen and we knew immediately that this was a special place. And Kim, the manor's representative who met us, is a special person: gracious, kind and full of suggestions. The grounds are so secluded that we felt coddled. We loved the easy landscaping and the willowy grasses embracing the pool. We biked the lovely streets and byways (thanks to bikes on property), played badminton (we brought our own set) in the afternoon, cards and other games at night after supper, and even danced one evening. We barbecued vegetables for a pasta salad and baked cakes and lobster mac 'n' cheese. We dined at Sunset Beach restaurant and watched the brilliant fiery sunset and had cocktails at Ram's Head Inn. We toured the ENTIRE island and walked the pebbly beaches (three of them!).. We greeted the deer and the turtle who visited and made friends with a black hen who thought she was an adopted member of the family. Every amenity is provided by the owner -- she must be a perpetual hostess for there was not a thing we needed or could have wanted. You really don't ever have to leave the grounds. Shelter Island Manor is the perfect retreat where sweet memories are made. RA

Terms & Policies
THIS BOOKING AGREEMENT (this “Agreement”), is entered into as of the date set forth on the signature page of this Agreement (the “Effective Date”), by and among the “Member” and the “Guest” (as each are defined on the booking confirmation page viewed and accepted by the Guest as a condition precedent to being presented with this Agreement (the “Booking Page”)), and Marquis, as defined in Section 10(s), herein (“Marquis”), as an intended beneficiary with respect to, but only with respect to, those particular provisions within which Marquis is explicitly referenced. The Member and the Guest may be referred to as the “Parties” and each individually as a “Party” throughout this Agreement.
WHEREAS, the Member is the manager or owner, or an authorized representative acting on behalf of the manager or owner, of the real property located at the address set forth on the Booking Page (the “Property”); and
WHEREAS, the Member has promoted the Property as available for temporary occupancy for the “Occupancy Period” (as defined on the Booking Page); and
WHEREAS, the Guest desires to rent the Property (the “Reservation”) for the period of time during which the Guest desires to occupy the Property (the “Occupancy Period”).
NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Agreement as they relate to the Reservation of the Property during the Occupancy Period.
