Cancellation Policy During COVID-19 Pandemic

Given the current situation regarding COVID-19, we understand that you may have many questions about our cancellation policy. Please note that pursuant to our booking agreement, all payments are non-refundable, however, we understand the severity of the ongoing pandemic, and in the unfortunate event that you must cancel due to the virus, the following options are available to you:

  • Option 1: If you elect to cancel, we will immediately re-open the dates that you were booked for. In the event we are able to re-book the property for an amount of equal or higher value than the amount you were booked for, StayMarquis reserves the right to issue you a full refund, independent of the property owners preference.
  • Option 2: As the Booking Agreement is between you and the property owner, StayMarquis is not permitted to issue a refund outside of the scenario as outlined in option #1 above. However, in light of the extenuating circumstances, we will use best efforts to work with the owner on your behalf to see if they are willing to make an exception.

In addition, we strongly suggest that you purchase travelers insurance, which we offer, and can be added to your reservation within 14 days after your book date. There are also third party insurance providers that may enable you to purchase travelers insurance beyond the 14 day book date window.

In addition to the insurance options that Marquis offers, many credit card companies have travelers insurance built in as a benefit to the cardholder, so we strongly suggest you look into that as a potential refund remedy.

Again, we fully understand the complications that this pandemic has brought to life. We will do our best to work with our owners to support your situation to the best of our ability.
