    We returned the 28 Ram Island Dr property for over a week in August. The property is very well maintained and is a very quiet and secluded location. The views of the bay are spectacular and is in close proximity to beaches and other key locations on the island. This is our second stay and we intend to come back again soon!

    We rented this property on Shelter Island for 2 weeks over the 2021 New Year Break and enjoyed one of the most relaxing getaways ever. Communication with the Marquis representatives was very easy and efficient - they were always on hand to answer questions and provide assistance. The house is marvelous! It's a relatively eco-friendly house with a genius layout: an open concept cooking/eating/living area with a wall of windows where you can eat breakfast overlooking a bay with the rising sun (and the occasional deer in the backyard); next to this is a more compartmentalized sleeping/living area. Beds were all very comfortable, and more than sufficient linens were provided. The house was CLEAN AS A PIN as well. The kitchen is a cooks kitchen - between the drawers and the pantry, it has every cooking utensil and gadget you could need (no need to bring pots/pans etc.). The house is quite isolated and there are no street lights so you can pretty much see the milky way at night! We didn't use the outdoor porch/roof very much because of the weather, but I imagine it would be awesome when it's warm. The water supply for the house is self-contained in a bladder under the house so you do need to temper your water consumption (we should do this anyways!). Overall an excellent place to get away from the city and chill with your family!

    Ram island is a beautiful location to have a home. The house was perfect. Spacious, with lots of natural light and beautiful views. One side was the bay, where our kids went ‘fishing’ with nets and the other side, across the road, was a pebbly beach. Less than 5 minutes drive was hay beach. The home has a very well equipped kitchen and lots of seating inside and outside. Perfect for all family vacations.
