The River Lodge
Sanctuary on the Hudson: Refuge, privacy, beauty on the river
11BR/6BA w/ pool on 90 sprawling acres- overlooking the banks of the Hudson
If you're seeking refuge, peace, privacy, and breathtaking natural beauty while having enough room to co-exist in seclusion on a 90-acre estate that overlooks the Hudson River...Shakespeare on the Hudson is here to serve you.
15-minute access to pharmacies, grocery stores, and hospitals, and located in the heart of Hudson Valley.
Seclude with family or a few (super close) friends on a month to month or two-week basis.
In a landscape of unique beauty- the ancient land is known to heal and will keep you and yours...safe. One of the best ways to deal with all this "distancing" is to get into the natural world, get your body moving, absorb the Spring sunshine and have plenty of room to spread your wings or rest; all while maintaining a safe six feet distance!
(not hard to do on 90 acres). Harmonize with the river, and say hello to those eagles who nest on the riverside pines.

The Hudson River Lodge is a great vacation destination for family outing or just to get away from your daily routine. We promise you will leave refreshed and recharge!
A meandering driveway, though a covered bridge, over Corlear Creek leads slowly and then all at once to the River Lodge – where there are seemingly endless views of the Hudson River to the north, east and south. Seeing that view, even for us, continues to astonish.
The River Lodge sits on a hill, with a gentle lawn of grass and wildflowers leading to the river.
Quarried from local stone in the late 1890’s, the lodge is sited at an elevation of 90 feet above and 340 feet from the Hudson River. Intended in every room to have a river view, it has a vintage sunlit country kitchen, a two-story rustic library, a study out of Ralph Lauren, a sprawling light-filled common room that allows rivers views from all three sides, and a private dining room with exposed stone. There are three primary bedrooms, with six smaller rooms originally designed as actors’ quarters for Shakespeare on the Hudson productions. The pool and hot tub are located just outside, facing the river.
If you want the Hilton — this is not the house for you. But if want to live in nature, in a natural environment so close to river that at times you can hear it, this is the place
