Catskill Flyer's 'Scenic Skyride'

The Hunter Scenic Skyride offers a comfortable ride to Hunter Mountain's 3,200-foot summit on the Catskill Flyer chairlift. Enjoy stunning views of the northern Catskills, and on clear days, the Berkshire Mountains of Massachusetts and Vermont's Green Mountains. The round-trip Skyride takes about 11 minutes each way. Don't miss the Rip Van Winkle statue at the summit. You can also hike to the Hunter Mountain Fire Tower, the highest in New York State. If you ride the Skyride down, make sure to return to the top half an hour before closing time.
